Beethoven Elementary Buzz in Mar Vista

BREAKING NEWS... WINTER HOLIDAY BOUTIQUE IS HERE!

Vendors galore! Plan to do your holiday shopping this SATURDAY, NOV 21 from 10:00AM-3:00PM at Beethoven's Holiday Boutique. There will be lots of vendors and food, plus our school gets a portion of proceeds. Lots of great items and plenty for the kids, too!

Drop off your coats to the One Warm Coat Drive in the bin at the Boutique!

Bring your friends and stroll the Boutique! We also need help! We are asking an hour of time per family and room parents have signup sheets for each classroom. If you cannot make it on Saturday, please donate waters, chips, sodas, or items for sale at the food booth. Label them “Holiday” Boutique” and drop them off in your classroom and there will be a classroom collection on Friday afternoon. This is a great opportunity to spend time with friends, shop and enjoy the day! You may also contact Gloria Halfacre directly via email if you can volunteer for an hour: gloria@sipi.usc.edu AND THE WINNERS ARE HERE! Congratulations to our 2009-2010 Student Council leaders! The new elected Student Council officers are: • Faith Freeman - President • Michael Dos Santos – Vice President • Bruno Segovia – Treasurer • Zoe Hernandez – Secretary Congratulations to this new governing body! Also, kudos to all the students who ran for Student Council elections; the posters and speeches were excellent! We are proud of all who made this such a terrific election and delighted with the strong elected leaders!! And thanks to all the voters!

FRIDAY MOVIE NIGHT

Plan on seeing a few features this FRIDAY, NOV 20 in the auditorium. Food sales begin at 5:00PM with pizza, salad, popcorn, beverages and a variety of sweets. At 5:30, for the younger kids, short versions of "Charlie Brown's Thanksgiving" and "It's a Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown" will be shown followed by the movie "UP". Tickets are $3 each and a family four pack for $10. They can be purchased in the mornings this week (see me or your room parent or stop by the K yard and see Dianna Tate with cash) and at the door. Volunteers are needed to help on Friday evening taking tickets and selling food. Please see your room parent if you can help with a donation of baked items, leftover Halloween candy or staffing the event.
