Chivas in the Park. I know what you’re thinking – that’s illegal. But we’re talking about the other Chivas, namely the Carson-based professional soccer team Chivas USA! On Saturday, May 14 at Mar Vista Park, the City of L.A.’s Parks and Recreation department is sponsoring three soccer clinics for ages 5-15 put on by the coaches of Chivas USA. Clinic times are 9:00 am, 10:45 am, and 12:30 pm. The $5 registration fee gets your child (i) a 90 minute soccer clinic, (ii) a free t-shirt, and (iii) 2 ticket vouchers to a Chivas USA home game.
